It wasn’t that long ago that Cam Newton was being recruited by virtually every program in the country.

The eventual Heisman Trophy winner and national champion quarterback initially picked Urban Meyer’s Florida Gators before transferring to Auburn. Even though that wasn’t that long ago, plenty has changed since Newton was recruited.

Guys like Jim Harbaugh have revolutionized the process with sleepovers, g day productions and satellite camps. NFL stars like Newton took notice.
