Nebraska two-way star Jordy Bahl set a single-season home run record for the Huskers on Saturday, clobbering her 3rd home run of the Baton Rouge Regional. On Sunday, it didn’t take her long to keep the power surge rolling right along.

In the bottom of the 1st inning of the regional championship vs. Southeastern Louisiana, Bahl worked a full count and got a pitch she could hit. She didn’t miss it, driving a deep fly out of left field for her 4th home run in 3 regional contests.

Bahl entered Sunday’s game 3-for-3 at the regional with every hit coming via the home run. That’s because Bahl has drawn 5 walks with teams routinely pitching around her at the plate.

Now, she’s up to 4-for-4 — all home runs — with Nebraska on the doorstep of advancing to the Super Regionals. Sunday’s home run adds to Bahl’s single-season program record with her 23rd of the year.

The Huskers exited the 1st inning of Sunday’s game with a 2-0 lead after a solo home run from Ava Kuszak. Nebraska needs just 1 win in 2 chances to win the regional and advance.

Nebraska has not been to the Super Regionals since the 2014 season, and their last trip to the Women’s College World series came in 2013.
