Tayven Jackson, a former Indiana QB who transferred from Tennessee at the end of the 2022 season, announced on Saturday that he will re-enter the transfer portal. This comes following Indiana’s College Football Playoff loss to Notre Dame. Jackson, a former 4-star prospect and brother of former college basketball star Trayce Jackson-Davis, has yet to get a real starting shot in college football. First, he sat behind Hendon Hooker on the depth chart at Tennessee and had Nico Iamaleava slated to be in front of him in 2023. After sitting in 2023 with Indiana, he played second fiddle to Ohio transfer Kurtis Rourke in 2024 – who became one of the best QBs in the Big Ten. Jackson will retain 2 years of eligibility. Jackson is likely to transfer down a level after 2 stints at the Power 4 level came and went. A dual-threat QB, Jackson saw limited action in blowouts this past season, totaling 349 ing yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Jackson also rushed for 73 yards with 3 touchdowns. He played an important role in Indiana’s win over Washington, completing 11 of his 19 es for 124 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
