Mike Locksley is proud of his team’s effort in the Week 12 home loss to Ohio State

Mike Locksley was close to getting a key home win for his Maryland Terrapins as they hosted No. 2 Ohio State in Week 12.

Maryland took Ohio State to the final minute of the game as the Terrapins looked to for a game-winning drive. Ohio State’s defense, however, ed for a strip sack and touchdown to put the nail in the coffin for Maryland to make the score 43-30.

After the loss, coach Locksley was happy with his team’s effort to contend and battle with No. 2 Ohio State:

“I’m proud of the guys in that locker room. We went blow-for-blow with the team that I consider to be one of the best in the country.”

Maryland accumulated 402 total yards on offense, which is one more than what Ohio State ed for. Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa completed 26-of-36 es for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The defense of Maryland did a nice job containing Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud but had problems with running back Dallan Hayden, who rushed for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns on 27 carries.
