Oregon football did what top-ranked teams are supposed to do last night: It comfortably handled an inferior opponent.

Oregon travelled to Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette to blank Purdue, 35-0 Friday night. And according to a FOX graphic after the game, the win gives the Ducks their fourth 7-0 start since 2000.

We’d forgive you and others if you missed that interesting piece of trivia, because Fox managed to misspell “Oregon,” instead dubbing the Ducks as “Ouregon.”

Typos happen, of course, but sometimes the situation makes the goofs funnier than it should be. This is one of those scenarios. It’s important to note that this game went final at 11:32 p.m. Eastern.

Life was rough last night for that graphics guy, but even worse for Purdue. The Boilermakers have now lost 6 straight after blanking Indiana state 49-0 to start the year. And in most of those games, Purdue has been completely blown out. They did put up a valiant effort against Illinois last week but fell all the same, 50-49.

The Boilermakers get the week off in Week 9 before facing off against Northwestern on November 2. Oregon, meanwhile, is set to host Illinois next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET in what could be a top 25 battle.
