Penn State football was named a finalist for Class of 2025 linebacker prospect Brett Clatterbaugh Thursday afternoon.
Clatterbaugh, who hails from Culpeper, Virginia, stands at 6-2, 220 pounds and is rated as the No. 285 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 28 LB and No. 7 player out of Virginia.
Clatterbaugh will choose between the Nittany Lions, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Clemson and Georgia, though his original offer list includes programs like Ohio State, Wisconsin, North Carolina and South Carolina, to name a few.

Penn State currently has 7 commitments in the Class of 2025, only one of whom is a linebacker prospect. DJ McClary, the prospect in question, is considered to be the No. 134 overall prospect in the cycle.
As for Clatterbaugh, it’s hard to know where he leans during this still early stage in his recruitment. The HS junior recently took an unofficial visit to Penn State on Sept. 23.
