Ever since the Michigan State game, Nebraska QB Adrian Martinez hasn’t been 100%. Martinez suffered a lower-body injury in the team’s 23-20 overtime loss in Week 5. He was hurt during the first quarter of the game, but returned later just before the end of the quarter.
However, during a Thursday press conference, Nebraska head coach Scott Frost revealed that Martinez is nearly recovered from his injuries. It appears that the bye week did a lot of good in of Martinez’s recovery.
What did the week off do for Adrian Martinez? It got him healthier, according to Scott Frost this morning.
“He’s been playing through a lot. He looks full speed, so I’m excited to see him at 100% again.”

The Cornhuskers will need Martinez to be at his best if they want to become bowl eligible with four games left in the season.
Nebraska’s (3-5) next test will be against 4-3 Purdue on ESPN2 Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
